Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you use esküvőm.info, why and on what legal basis, and which rights you have. The Hungarian version is the binding one.

2. Whose data we process

We process the data of our customers (couples and vendor partners) as an independent controller.

We process the data of guests who reply on a wedding site on behalf of the couple running that site, as a processor. The couple is the controller of their guests’ data. [To be confirmed.]

3. What we process, why, and on what basis

  • Customer account: name, email address, password (hashed) — performance of contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Invoicing: billing name and address, tax number — legal obligation (GDPR art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Guest replies: name, email, phone, message, names and ages of companions — consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Contact form: name, email address, message — consent.

4. Special-category data (food sensitivities)

A guest may declare food sensitivities for their party. This is health data (GDPR art. 9), so it is processed only with the guest’s separate, explicit consent and used only to arrange catering.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time through the couple or our contact address. [To be confirmed.]

5. Retention

Guest data: [X] months after the event, then deleted.

Customer account: until the account is closed. Invoicing data: 8 years, as Hungarian accounting law requires.
